What I liked about the old and still very available Izods is the brass zipper. I almost stopped wearing G9s but these were good. They do have that croc though, not to everyone's taste.

I'm not sure that Izod wouldn't ring the changes just a little bit in the UK. Might be all right in navy or maroon.

I'm sure Russell Street said to me on the D&B that wearing a G9 was the act of a 'romantic' - which I think is a nice way of putting it. I saw someone wearing 'a Harrington-style jacket' this morning: very badly.

This is in LA, yes? Full of oddballs anyway, isn't it? You'd hardly have stood out. Same in 1966s part of the world. They're all obscured by cannabis clouds.

They were Hawkins Astronauts and I almost gave Jason apoplexy by wearing them for digging holes for planting. They are now in the possession of a young chap in Lyon.
