Florsheim at Selfridge's

There are a few designs on the second floor. The cordovan wingtips are a whopping £495!!!

To my untrained eye, they are inferior to Alden, Church's Grafton, Sander's Southwark and Loake's Royals.

I wonder if the new John Simons shop will be offering these?  I have to admit, the brogue is a shoe I have slightly fallen out of love with, although I'm hanging onto my Jarman cordos.

I wonder if these are the Florsheim / Duckie Brown collaboration ones?

I'd guess so.
regular Florsheims can be had for a pittance in Stamford Hill shoe shops- Florsheim oxfords and a G&G 3/4 length three-piece became the de rigeur Hungaro-Chassidic uniform (via post-'56 Villiamsburg, natch).

Re: Florsheim at Selfridge's

the Florsheim/Duckie Brown cordovan brogues are much cheaper stateside, $585, so about 375 quid or so, along the same price of Aldens and Allen Edmonds cordovan.

they do make a brilliant looking burgundy/cherry red cordovan that is not the typical cordo #8 color, but more red.

generally, not a fan of the Duckie Brown florsheims, hate the self color sole that matches the leather, and the primary colors they use.

Place called 'Lee Avenue', on Oldhill Street, if I remember correctly. I haven't been down that way for a while.
