/\ paisley ties and sport shirts have been part of Ivy from the beginning, from 1950 at least ....
the smaller the droplet shape the more Ivy the paisley tie is, a small-patterned paisley foulard tie in conservative colors is not loud, whereas larger swirling paisley patterns can easily be too much for many ....
I have eight or nine paisley ties to this day, all of mine are cool and not too out there, I enjoy how paisley ties were sold for decades at our favorite Madison Avenue shops for the East Coast elite while paisley shirts came to symbolize the psychedelic '60s, John in swirling paisley shirt on the back cover of Revolver, that pattern in a Brooks ocbd would be wild ....
had a couple of paisley shirts too in the past and loved them, none currently though, but in elementary school during the 1966-69 psychedelic paisley daze and again neo-psychedelically in '82-'85 ...
I like that Indian style, paisley has got tons of it, it's good stuff ... cotton handkerchiefs in paisley too ....
Still waiting for Armchaired to denounce anyone who approves of paisley in this thread as a heratic. Paisley has strange effect on yer man.
Muted printed paisley is good. I generally can't stand the pattern when woven in.
Forever paislerize Kids.. FOREVER PAISLERIZE I TELLS YA?!?
