Either way no one would like to get kicked in the nuts with them, I like the side-panel looks a bit like the camp-mocs.

These are interesting - much more chukka than desert boot. And they have a brick red rubber sole, in the buck tradition -

I got mine in dark brown (to pair with SF-approved Italian 64oz tweed trousers with 4" turnups).
They certainly aren't Clarks but they have a kind of endearing desert-boot-esque crudeness to them. Sleeker than the current Clarks, which may be missing the point. They're asking $250, which is ridiculous. They're Goodyear welted so I expect them to last sixty or seventy years, and if at any point they show even the slightest wear you can be assured that I will contact my attorney.

I've also bumped up a few other Desert Boot related threads for info.

^ interesting, they look very like the Loake Sahara.
I'd like to throw Hutton's up coming boot into the mix for alternatives.

Hmmm. I still can't decide if I prefer them to 2017 Clarks.
The price is certainly decent.
