Ivy Exchange

Chris's excellent idea: to complement the 'For Sale' Sticky.  A chance for forumites to bargain and barter.  Best of luck, chaps!

'Sticky' status on the way...

Just a reminder: This thread is purely for swaps.

Enjoy !

Contemporary Florsheim Yuma US 7 1/2 in mid-brown, good condition. Consider an exchange for anything interesting - shoe or not - in my size: http://forums.filmnoirbuff.com/viewtopi … 19#p105419

Re: Ivy Exchange

Great thread idea. Wish I had things worth swapping. I will soon perhaps.

Out of interest Moose, how do those Florsheim size up? I've taken 7 1/2 US in narrow fitting before but I'm never sure with loafers, because of my narrow feet/high instep.

I have nothing to offer so no swap on the cards, but I'm just interested to find out how they size up for future reference.

Re: Ivy Exchange

I'd say true to size. The construction of the Yuma is fairly forgiving. I'm usually a US 9 but also have (and wear) Yumas in 8 and 9 1/2!

The 8 needs thin socks and a shoehorn but is OK once on. The 9 1/2 needed a footbed and is fine with thicker socks.

You want to get those seen to mate.

Would you consider trading that lot for a Steve Austin action figure?

On a serious note - I have a batique madras jacket (about a 40R) - will swap for shoes (size 10-10.5 UK) or shirts (15.5) or anything you think I may be interested in.

Re: Ivy Exchange

I've got an outstanding, stunning 50s ivy US wool overcoat, NOS and hardly worn by me.  It's slightly too big for me making it a 39R (possibly a 40R), I won't part with it until I have something in a 38R that will look good over a jacket or suit.  Further details and photos if someone is interested.

P.S.  Who thought up our new slogans?  Jimmy I suspect.  I'll try to live up to mine.

Got a pair of 1980's L.L. Bean white bucks, in excellent condition.  Size 9.5 d but seem to be a little roomy.  Too big for me and I don't know what to do with them, so if anyone is interested in a wee trade of some sort let me know.

Re: Ivy Exchange

I have a pair of W36 L34 Italian made Levis Sta Prest, in good nick and stone coloured. Not worth much but probably ebayable for about £20. Anything considered for these as I can't really be bothered going through the hassle of posting an ebay ad.

No thanks Beat, I still worry about the radioactive content of my wasabi and pickled ginger. I fear in time my clackers will also be luminous.

It's the heavy metal contents of the fish you need to worry about. Feel free to put your own bollock/metal jokes and puns in here. I can't zinc of any.

Re: Ivy Exchange

I have a pair of vintage(70's) tan Dexters recently purchased via The Weejun. They are a 9.5 but very narrow in fantastic condition. Also a JSA short sleeved popover sky blue with pink/white stripe. This shirt is a prototype model and features a seam on front(hardly noticeable) but no label due to it being a test run. shirt is a small but has been taken in to fit up to a 37" chest/15.5 neck
Photos can be emailed of both.
Looking for anything in the shoe department - 9.5 or shirt in small... Or anything interesting that is on the small side!

6X Brooks Brothers US-made slimfit OCDBs 15.5" neck/35" arm 1 each white/ blue/yellow/ochre/pink/blue uni stripe, worn only once or twice, the pink is  unworn, still wrapped. Would swap for similar in 16/16.5. or maybe sell.

Chris, I'd be interested in the blue uni stripe, but wouldn't have anything to swap, as such. I'll send a PM

Re: Ivy Exchange

I have three white tab-collar Brooks shirts in 16 / 34 I'd like to get rid of/ swap /sell. They're all in very good condition, makers if I'm not mistaken (I'll check) and of course made stateside.

Some things I'm looking for are 15.5 or 16 / 35 shirts, especially blue or uni striped BB OCBDs, and a bottle green or maroon shetland (M or L, 40 or 42).

Moose- I'd give my right arm for those Yumas.
I'm almost exactly your size (15/32, 31-32/27 pants)
I hope you still have them.-
Thanks-Randy

Take my advice- I'm not using it.
