The inevitable end of an era.

The free shipping hurts me more than the returns, I'm totally with them on the return policy, this is why we can't have nice things... The free shipping will probably be a dealbreaker for me on many small things...

But I don't buy belts, shoes (my blucher mocs were the last pair of Bean shoes for me, then they die I'm replacing them with Rancourt), shirts, chinos, boxer shorts, corduroy trousers, etc. etc., from them any more...

As far as recent Bean, I have the aforementioned blucher mocs, flannel-lined slippers, two chamois cloth shirts, two pairs of chino shorts that fit really well, two flannel shirts, and three polos that are all in the best of health, it should be many years before they die (besides the blucher mocs, those are gonna be toast in the next year)... No point in buying chamois cloth shirts new because they're all over eBay for cheap, made in USA (unlike the new ones) and still going strong... Same with Baxter State Parkas, I might buy an extra just to pack away for good measure...

I'll pick up a new polo or two and a pair of flannel-lined chinos and that's it for me, sorry Bean, it's been real...
