Re: Countdown (1968)

We knew about Monty when we were teenagers - and wondered if he had turned down Liz Taylor.  Then we found out about James Dean, Sal Mineo and - eventually - Rock Hudson.  The response, of course, was a shrug of the shoulders.  I would be slightly taken aback, though, if anything was now said about James Stewart.

Ha! I had thought that was Caan's 'real' barnet taking its final bow in "Countdown" but definitely an off the shelf job by the early/mid '70s. Caught "The Killer Elite" (1975?) on the MGM HD channel the other night and his rug had its own choreographer.

John Simons once chatted with James Stewart in a camera shop in Bond Street. Not gay was his verdict. John's not Jimmy's.
