Re: Ivy League style for today

^ That's a beautifully composed image, "faults" and all. What seems to be the problem?

Is it you now or is someone else back then? You never can tell on these pages.

Re: Ivy League style for today

ha no, was that sarcasm? this is me right now. but the problem is that all the photos are overlapped and there seems to be a leek of light at the top right hand corner of the other ones. but can expect much of a camera thats over 50 years old.  thanks in advance '66

^ Ah so the camera is old, I didn't catch that the first time. I couldn't help you with it but I honestly think it produced a good image there by chance.

What camera are you using, Elmore? There's a big movement back to analogue, I'm getting back to it, digital is a dead end. Better the permanence of negative and slide. You can always scan as you have.

By the way, a great look, in a lovely garden too.

Re: Ivy League style for today

thanks hepcat, its not actually my garden, but thank you smile

i'm using an american ensign commando circa 1948. got a few problems with it though. i just found about 5 old cameras that belonged to my grandfather: a pair of box brownies (one from the 30's, and an old Yashica twin lense. looking forward to using them in summmer

thanks for the comments

Of course no problem, but as we like everything to be in context here I'll add some background when you do it - the how and why of the style and the trials and tribulations of maintaining such a hairstyle in the days when Kevin Keegan's perm (or even A Flock of Seagulls style) was considered normal!

I've yet to see a style, any style,  which can rival Ivy for quality mixed in with so many other things - Cool, tradition, heritage, 'correctness', relaxed fun...

Re: Ivy League style for today

Ah yes, the old teviot 74s - Harry Palmer and Len Deighton's favourite.

I'm toying with buying a pair of Shuron Revelation i.e. the same as the Ronsir, but slightly smaller. The original Ronsir are massive, especially if your seriously myopic like me.
