Now they really don't deserve to be shoes. They look like real crap. Who would buy such an ugly shoo?

I quite like these - a fancy camp moc in what looks like short nap suede.

Card, I like those as well.  Very nice weekend shoes.

That's one thing i've learned on the forums that very few seem capable of learning. You can't try to please everyone and make them like you, just say what you like and if mates get pissed off at you,,you are better off without them. With real friends you can say whatever you like and they won't get offended. Only insecure people with small dicks and big ego's get offended (the majority of the pathetic population unfortunately). l wanna speak to real people, not lame ducks who are pretenders.  You can call me a piss drinker, shit eater, and mad man that deserves to be locked up, but l laugh my head off and get off when people are like that....and l couldn't give a rats arse. Too many people are fake and pretenders on the forums and it's not too hard to work out who the tryhards are. When you eat raw you can see completely through the bullshit. There are some highly regarded people here who have managed to spin lots of lies about how great their lives are, but the way they talk shows it is all in their imagination (some trolls here have picked up on it too. See...people aren't silly, people know what's going on if they take the time to think abit).

They aren't meant to be pretty Cruz. They are ruff and tuff no nonsense shoos for men who like abit of unrefinement. They are so common looking that they all have great character. l love ugly traditional gunboats with loads of character. l'm a boat man through and through, but l also like fancy footwear.

Those black point double monks are pretty bad, but most people like bad looking shoos, that's why they sell so well...they are an extreme shape and people do like extremes in footwear because they stand out (not in a good way either).

The bloke wearing the bowtie, suit and gunboats is a disaster. He needs black oxfords.

Those wingtip monks are my dream shoo. l'd kill to have a pair.

l personally don't dislike any of the shoos. Then again, l don't hate many shoos these days...l love them all and appreciate their presence and role they play. Every shoo is special because it is..afterall..a piece of footwear. Footwear is a fasinating thing, even ugly shit is good.

I am not basing my comment on being "pretty" and "refined"... I wear rugged gunboat shoes all the time. But, "Gunboats" should not be confused with a pass for bad taste.

l actually do understand what you mean Cruz. Yes, many of the lasts are of bad taste here amongst various balance problems etc, but i'm a common pleb with Fred Flinstone taste (l like simple and ugly stuff) so it doesn't bother me....anything satisfies me.

l could pick the heck out of most shoos, but l choose to love them all instead because l am a shooman by heart and love them all so much. l don't care if they have square toes like boxes, as long as they are stitched. l can show taste at times and do have an appreciation for it and can recognise real taste, but l largely choose not to exercise it. l like the peasant look because it's anti-smart.

What is in bad taste is for one who "dabbles" to pass judgment on the tastes and opinions of others who have a true passion for a thing.  However, that is the whole point of thick soles, heavy stitching and the like, when it's well-made.  To differentiate ones self from the crowds of people who suffer from "groupthink" and are satisfied to (in fact even STRIVE to) emulate the opinions of the few who dominate the igent community.

It has nothing to do with shoes, friend.  I have a soft spot when it comes to respecting others' beliefs and opinions.  Regardless of the subject matter.  It's fine to disagree.  It's even PREFERABLE to have disagreement, as progress is only made thru discourse and debate.  You are too easily dismissive, and since you have no special knowledge or expertise in the matter, it is ridiculous to be so.
