Weekend updates complete! New additions include a lot of great 1960s Ivy sport shirts, a GANT chambray popover, and a great flannel suit with all the details.
Talks are in the works for a brick-and-mortar business, but that is a ways down the road yet. Newton Street keeps it coming at you!
Zach's very quiet with the new stock.
I do hope he's scouring New England in an old Tucker searching for the good stuff in thrift shops and at clearance auctions.
And what about the military chinos, what's happend with them?

Been quiet since I got cleaned out last weekend.....
BUT I am back with more updates today, ton more sport shirts like last time, couple of suits, summerweight jackets, ties, madras, etc.
Everything is already in the shop.
The seller wanted too much for the military chinos so I had to pass.

Why oh why are ALL your shirts ALWAYS sized 16 - 16.5 ?!?
Where are the 15's ??
Are they all sourced from a personal wardrobe or estate buyout or something, or is this just the only size for sharp looking leftover deadstock men's shirts to be found when thrifting ??
So many dynamite BDs and they're ALWAYS too big !!

Same for the stunning harris tweeds and herringbones that never fit... the people demand smaller shirt and jacket sizes!
Yup, I feel you Oliver, same here, most stuff is just too big for my frame. Holding out for the pull over shirts mentioned else where.

Most of the NOS Brooks came from the same source and were all 15.5-33. It was unsold store stock that had been sitting in a shop basement for god knows...
Smaller sizes are hard to find. They also sell out the fastest. I had a Gant Hugger with a pocket flap in a 15 but it sold within an hour of listing. A size 38 old Brooks poplin suit lasted about as long.
Most sport shirts from the 1950s and 1960s are alpha-sized, so they run SML, with a M being 15-15.5.
The shop wasn't updated last weekend because I was selling in a local market, so it is a little low on stock right now. The enthusiasm is always appreciated!
Cheers and thanks for the explanation... I'd seen those Brooks and considered them but was held back by going half-size up as I really go for a tapered cut and was uncertain of the fit.
I'm always weary of the x-y sizing on vintage labels since I'm so particular about the cut and fit that I wear.
I've just sent you a message on Etsy re. the NOS Brent though.

Can these make clothes smaller then?... (wink)

A few anabolic steroid tabs in the machine does help remove all that teflon gunk from non-iron shirts. It's the organic compounds in them that do the trick.

If you guys are looking for slim fit oxfords, the Brooks popovers will most likely be much too loose.
That's a shame Thin Rep, seems I will just have to keep checking the site for that golden nugget.

I can probably source some more sport shirts in a 14.5 or a 15. Arrow Cum Laudes and labels like that. Mostly patterns though. Solid oxfords from the 1960s are becoming rare birds indeed.
Whatever to those military chinos you were allegedly sourcing?
After a too-long absence I am back in a big way! TON of new items listed today! The whole spectrum is represented. Tons of Brooks, a Gant hugger, poplin suits, seersucker, madras, knit ties, bow ties, repp ties!
Apologies for my absence last week.
Best

Zach, your Etsy shop won't allow purchases from outside the USA again.
Does anybody know whether it's possible to set up e-mail alerts on etsy? It'd be pretty convenient to get an alarm when Zach puts up new stuff, but I seem unable to set one up on etsy..

Apologies to anyone outside the US or UK who was trying to buy ties. For some reason the shipping profile for ties wasn't listing any other locations, but it has been fixed.
Hepcat-- which items did you have trouble with? I have already made sales to the UK and Switzerland today so I know that for most items it should work internationally. Sorry about the mixup

If you'd like I could post here BEFORE I list instead of after. Listing is not a quick process though; took me 3 hrs to list 27 items this morning.
Zach, that's a very kind offer -- I can picture people glued to their screens for three hours ;-) I think your current policy is fine, I was hoping though that there'd be an alert function offered by etsy... ebay style. But then searchability never was a strength of etsy now was it.

It was the Repp ties I coveted, but they had already gone by the tome it was fixed. Not too late for the Madras ties though.
Just to let everyone know that all orders placed on Monday will ship out this week, Thursday at the absolute latest. I try to get everything out the day after the order is placed but I got a little swamped on Monday. I appreciate the patience and of course, the patronage. Thanks all!
Zach
It's probably in order to say that your shipping times have without fail been impressive.

Thanks! I know people hate waiting their clothes as much as I do. All orders placed this week have been shipped as of this morning.
