I'm not sure exactly he certainly had it in the late 70's as I remember my brother spinning ELO's Out of the Blue album on it. It had a SME tonearm on it.
Sme, nice!
I have a later model, with a black ash plinth, and linn itok arm. Superb tt
He had a Townsend Rock too. He was something of an audiophile.
G- Agree on the Lincoln. Also my favourite american car. I prefer the hard top up. I'd love to ride in one. Count yourself lucky that you did.

I hated old style joysticks. It was like shaking hands with a cat. Shooey, I'm with you on the old beat up American cars.

That's a real beauty mate.

Shoes:
Gaziano & Girling's take on the classic Adelaide shoe. Every well dressed man should own a pair. Colour? Skins? Your choice.
Bespoke Adelaides:

l completely agree. Every man should own either an E.G or G&G adelaide type of shoe. l have the exact same pair of G&G, but in rtw. ln fact...l like the above design so much that l am seeing Mr X tonight to draw up a new pattern on my new last. The shoo will be in black boxcalf and will be all hand stitched in bespoke tradition. lt's a nice last so l am expecting big things.
l also have a Vass adelaide in dark brown boxcalf which is stunning, and a recent bespoke adelaide which didn't turn out so well because of an inappropiate last for the style. .
Love the adelaide.

Everyone needs at least one pair of Gaziano & Girling alligator wholecuts. l'm saving my money for a pair of these babies, it is a luxury.

Still have one of these in our bedroom, though it's in that ghastly '70s beige. Have a black wall model of the same vintage (you know, the rectangular ones with the rounded corners) but it is not hooked up.

Unfortunately my mother wore this, so it's not something I enjoy all that much.

My folks had one till a few years ago in a fairly awful green colour. The same colour that seemed to be popular for bathroom suites in the 70's.

Lovely.
A buddy of mine and me spent the day awaking his Triumph Daytona 675 out of her beauty sleep. Really a prime example of british engineering at its best and a reminder to the times when Made in Germany was a warning for a shitty product. My ramblings aside, the upcoming special edition “Steve Mcqueen” of the Bonneville deserves a place in this thread just by the looks of it as a paragon to this great brand.![]()

Good call.
Equally iconic and another Triumph. Brando's '53 Thunderbird 6T
Casa Malaparte
Kai Kristiansen #42 in rosewood
70s style at its best
