Cheers Madras I quite fancy a BD is that slate/sludge blue/grey, with a black silk-knit tie.

Good stuff ooey. I'd love to see you do a sketch in colour after each of ocbds posts. And another series of jivey drawings witha bit of hep dialogue between  cats on ivy clothes. Eg. "diggin tha 2 roll 3 man"

Re: Ivy Illustration

I went to Aberdeen Uni you cheeky basturt. The Heroin is lacklustre at best.

Revisiting those old illustrations, that red jacket/white slack combo has me itching to get my red Wash and Wear out. Great colours.

If I was to do that combo though I'd go for a blue Uni stripe shirt. Looks grey from a few feet away but no where near as harsh as a grey shirt up close.

I need to build up some shirt fabric swatch lists, I still haven't got my head round the software.

Re: Ivy Illustration

Love the illustrations. They highlight some of the variations in our common pursuit. I'm fine with a brown suit, but couldn't wear the red jacket (too Ron Burgundy)--and the black shoes would be replaced with something soft and brown. If I'm wearing a J Press or BB sack, I'll probably be wearing camp mocs or pennys in #8 or brown. Bucks or desert boots have a chance.

Re: Ivy Illustration

I can understand sometimes stepping in something soft and brown but wearing it as some kind of make shift shoe seems like madness. Horses for courses.

I can't really understand the Ron Burgundy comment either. I can only guess you don't favour the natural shoulder? That 70's wide lapel structured shoulder look is miles away from what the illustrations depict.
