Hey Big L, did you ever hear the album Stephen Stills 2?

I got it off my old man on vinyl, and always thought this was one of the best tunes I'd ever heard on any record, recommend to be listened to whilst wearing woollen plaid.

As it goes Rob its more sunday mornings...toast, eggs, coffee, cigarettes and the papers on the balcony...sat back in the patio chair, dressing gown over shorts, feet resting on the railings. Yes Nancy is a perfect start to sunday. Sunny side up baby.

Saturday nights is a whole different matter...

It's safe to say even with me being ten years your junior, I lead a much more subdued Saturday night!

On the reggae front I've been playing this a lot at work,,

Great Liam, you got me again. Deja Vu used to be one of my favorite albums. You're going to be on Hard bop Hanks shit list though, you hippie.

The shit list is my natural habitat, brother.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JKlSVNxL … ure=relmfu

I remember listening to Deja Vu years ago. My Dads LP through some huge 70's Pioneer headphones. It was one of the few records he couldn't bare to part with when he sold his collection and went digital. I loved the cover and the way all the artists were listed there. It sounds amazing through headphones.

Bop- I know of the album. May have listened to it but I'm not that familiar. I'll dig it out when I'm down seeing my folks at the weekend. My Dad will have it somewhere. Cheers, sounds good anyway.

The Bloomfield and Kooper stuff I tried but never got into. I never was a fan of Bloomfields noodlings for some reason. I could take it when he was playing with Dylan but I've never enjoyed any of his other stuff.

Love that too, you were born too late, you would have made a great jock on 60's, early 70s FM rock radio.

I don't know off hand if that was in The Graduate bit if it wasn't it should have been.

Probably one of the best songs ever written IMO, I always really liked America too, after it was used on a skate-video many moons ago.

I also had Harry Chapin's W.O.L.D on this morning, which has got a great chorus.

Can't resist playing more S and G here doing a Paul Simon song at a reunion concert in Central park in the 70s. Even hepcat and Hank might approve of this. Maybe. http://youtu.be/VP15Qd_gJ7M

Nicola has long been my favourite Bert Jansch album. Seems like such a departure for him. He was obviously listening to Dylan and much pop music. I wonder if he really thought he could turn himself into a popstar...

Seeing this and a mention of " Little Milton" on Simons blog made me think of this. This dude goes by "Milton' and I thought he was an older black guy until I saw this video. This song was big on a college radio station I used to listen to about 7, 8 years ago. The studio version is much better. http://youtu.be/KUR2cMqXkTc

Holy shit Hank, what's next Phil Ochs?

I never heard of this guy. After reading wikipedia though his life story would make a great movie.

I can't.

Kyu Sakamoto, Sukiyaki. Released in 1963. Reached no.1 in the states. Sweet haunting pop, great voice, great clothes. Check out that shirt fabric and 3 button collar. Proper mod, bollox I've done it again. I mean Ivy.

I absolutely love this song. What a sweet boy he appeared to be too.

There is nothing more satisfying than a perfect 3 minute or less pop song. A little shot of happiness.

NB Whistling or hand claps will also feature in a perfect pop song.
