Heaven 17 - And That's No Lie
Nobody went for my "Doctor" theme? Maybe that's a good thing, all I had left was Robert Palmer "Bad case Of Lovin You".

I had that son. You're good.
Dr.John ended before I got the next record, a reocurring nightmare of mine.
A bit of a stretch, perhaps...

Ha SNAP! Great choice, man. Great minds and all that.
If they had the version of this song from Blood on the tracks it would have worked well with Doc Watsons version of Tom Dooley but this will do. http://youtu.be/g34KQzw8P30

I had not heard either of these before. The first reminds me of something, I can't put my finger on it now. Just stripped down RnR. Interesting in that it pre dates the Ramones. The blues guy reminds me alot of John Lee Hooker.

I love both the Bob Seger track and The Shadows of Knight's version of Gloria.
These are a couple of my favourite freakbeat tracks
The (Belfast) Wheels - Road Block
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hs-AgGtY … re=related
and their version of Bad Little Woman
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4cJn1XOR … re=related
Yeah, love the drumming on that Bob Seger track! Never heard the Wheels either - great stuff. We got into garage rock here pretty good last year.
The Wheels are amazing. I'm a big Them fan, too!
I've been looking for The Road Block single since I've heard it on a Pebbles or one of these AIP Freakbeat comps...
Only ever came across non-affordables or repros...
Practically (maybe everything) that The Wheels ever recorded is on this
http://www.artistdirect.com/nad/store/a … 62,00.html
and this hard enough to get hold of.
A friend of mine who ran a rarities record shop sold an original 1966(?) copy for about £30.more than 20 years ago .
