Those lads can't be more than 15 or 16, imagine kids today dressing like that.
The Bopster is coming up with some great stuff here.
Looks about right doesn't it woof, when did they start selling them?

Any car buffs know the model of this Triumph?
I was thinking maybe a Herald? The overall shape is similar, but the rear end and lights etc don't really resemble a Herald.

Is it perhaps a Vitesse Cliffo? Woofboxer should know - he likes his jam jars.

Along with his Dickie Dirts, Ones & Twos, Tilbury Docks etc etc... (wink)
On closer inspection of that photo, you can just about make out the TR badge. So I assume it's one of the TR range. My uncle had a TR7 back in the '80s... What a heap of shite that was!
You're right - I think it's a TR4!
By the the way, I'm off to the Boiler weekender in Madrid in July - looks like a good 'un.
It is a TR4. Here's a reference pic.
I'm no car buff but I do have a soft spot for TR3 and TR4's.

I couldn't say, they certainly sold them in 1959 which was when veteran Press salesman Jerry Haber started in the firm's employ. Perhaps it's a question we could pose to Richard Press through the auspices of the good Mr Chensvold?

In British Racing Green too I hope?
Call me old fashioned, but classic British sports cars look much better in this colour, like the one above..
1980's par excellence

Sorry Cliffo, I meant Barcelona not Madrid - PM sent mate.
Kenyon College Special Collections' photostream is pretty cool, lot of shots of Paul Newman, and then going straight through to late 70's mid 80's prep stuff
PN 1961
some preps
climbing club 1980
kid on the left is a testament to why narrower jeans/trousers, just look better.
