Ever notice the similarity with these 2 Hank?

Yup, I remembered it when you mentioned "Help Me Rhonda".

The b-side to "Satisfaction" is also similar:

Aye, I'm hoping to catch them in Helsinki this summer. I've also been digging the Dr John album that you linked here earlier. All good stuff!

Never heard of either one of those, Richard. Excellent. Sounds like the stuff Lee likes, "Sunshine Pop"

Thanks , I love popsike /sunshine pop,  it's the evolution of 50's early 60's vocal groups with an added paisley twist.

You should check out the Fading Yellow compilations, some great obscure cuts from both sides of the pond.

Covay's real name was Phil Kinorra who played drums with Brain Auger and once stood in for an ill Keith Moon at a Who gig. (in 67 as I recall)

This was never released as a single, its on her 1968 LP; Step Inside Love. I used to play it at soul nights a few years ago and folks would always ask who its by, raised a few eyebrows when I passed them the cover.

Looking at that I was trying to find Madeline Bell's version of Step Inside Love...which is on the flip of this:

There's then a link to a 68 album which it's on around the 21:20 mark...that's a frock and a half on Miss Bell... why did I ever stop cross dressing?!?...but I digress...
