Re: "American Classics" in Covent Garden

Is that place over the road from American Classics still going ?

Dickies & Carhartt stuff that even the Neal Street Carhartt shop didn't have, all el cheapo.

'Satelite' ?  Can't remember...  My old dentist was just by it... I'd pop in to use the loo & buy a toothbrush sometimes. I think that was when I first started being a 'character'...  AKA a pain in the arse...  wink

Dunsby used to have hisknibs as his website, but he gave it to Dave from Modculture to use as a menswear blog with a broader spectrum than mod.

Jim, you mean Interstate - it's still there, but prices ain't what they were. Long gone are the days of Selvedge denim at £60 a pop.

@Ivy Jim - yes, that place opposite American Classics is still going. I saw it just last week. Hope that helps.

Re: "American Classics" in Covent Garden

Checked out the Present sample sale this morning, some nice bits, the chap Jim interviewed was working the floor. Tiny venue but plenty of nice bits at good prices. I picked up a cracking wool cape, alas for the missus not me, shame as been after one for ages. Picked up a Marimeko striped tee (very west coast vibe) for £10, and picked up some butter soft ftroupe tobacco suede moccasins for £20.

Lots of nice unstructured jackets and some great gingham macs as well as some excellent Woolwich trousers. All in all if you're in the area it's worth sticking your head in for a look see.

I'll try to pop in between meetings next week if it is still on.

Re: "American Classics" in Covent Garden

Called in at American Classics today, the first time I've been in for a while. There seemed to be a bigger variety of stuff on display, cracking top quality gear as always, although some of it is on the pricey side!

They have also given the website a revamp which is worth a gander: https://www.americanclassicslondon.com
