I wouldn't mind a couple of new tee-shirts for the summer, just for dossing in. I quite like some of the ones on offer from Ivy Sport in their Vintage range. Dartmouth colours appeal. I doubt if anyone in Norway would know Dartmouth, I guess America members might not get away with wearing it? Would some of the British chaps wear any of it?

You are right. This would not fly in the USA unless you went to one of the schools and even then it would be kind of elitist but its problably ok in europe...
Levi's LVC has some nice t shirts- but they are kind of pricey
I have a bit of a hobby of buying t shirts from concerts, bars, venues and general Places of interest that I happen to visit. Got 3 from the Apollo Theather after attending a soul concert there last week ... I wear sm mostly around the house and for excercise. It's kind of cool cause they always remind me of places that I've been to and had a good time. I got one last week of the Irish bar from the movie "the departed" it's in a bad part of Brooklyn- next to a hells Angels club house. I'll never be there again - and barely got out of there in one piece - but I got a real kick that they were selling t shirts behind the bar!
You think the LVC tees are pricey? Well they are... but it's nothing compared to the original stripe surf tees being sold as vintage these days. Those suckers sell for about $200. They're usually made by cheap dept store brands like Sears Roebuck as well. $200 for a Sears t shirt! Madness.
As for the College shirts. No way. The design for one thing is awful imo.
NO! Don't do it GW. That's like something one of my lame cousins would wear.
Just buy a pack of decent white ts. They're classic and go with everything.
For plain tees Goodwear have now got my vote, a bit pricey but great quality and survive washing brilliantly.
Aero Leathers sells them in the UK (£20) if you want to try one and if they appeal you buy them direct from the USA as they occasionally have multi-buy offers ($32 for 3 recently).
It would seem decent stripe tees are few and far between without spending silly cash, Levi's (not LVC) usually have a few on offer each summer in the £20 ballpark.
I saw these two pack pair of white Tshirts in a plastic bag. The brand was real McCoy and the price was $110 !!!
WTF? I also saw something similar at Levi's LVC in the village... Both packages claim to be authentic looms made in USA cotton. Something that cost about $1.99 fifteen years ago, now with a 10000% price increase!
Unless I'm missing something, this should count as pretty ridiculous on the list of overpriced garments!
Just like I stated in the other thread; they're t shirts for christ sake. I can't justify spending those amounts on t shirts, jeans, chinos, etc. It's all just too casual for such luxury prices.
It is just embarassing to wear T-Shirts from Universities you´ve never attended.

I like those a lot ! There's also the standard saint James t shirt ... I'm about to get two for the summer
^ always forget about St. James, have a few of them and they are corkers.
You can buy those 'college' sweaters too.
Is it bad when you recognise Etsy sellers' wooden flooring...?
Although this could be an ebay job, I've let my keen eye for it slip recently

It's a niche interest for sure Ville.
I can understand why you paid that and I'd pay the same if the right stripe came up. A bit more for a thick bar stripe in subtle colours.
$120 seems reasonable compared to some of these t shirts popping up now. $300 one sold for last year. Ridiculous when you consider the quality will be totally average.
