Alt Wien are made by Crockett and Jones and are about the same quality as their benchgrades. The main differences are the lasts and styles, sometimes the leathers, they have quite a large selection of cordovan shoes. The shoes are nice and the lasts are more Austrian and more rounded. IME they're about 10-25% more expensive than C&J benchgrades.

Much as I enjoyed the photos, I think you really need to add a nice shot of you, GW and OCBD in bed together.

The past behind our feet
Lies in the even-glow!

Alas, Time stays,-we go!

Re: A blog from someone not so "new"...

You've had more luck than me. I have a couple of pairs of H&M swimming togs that have done me proud. The other stuff (one crewneck sweater and 3 pairs of cotton trews) just fell to bits before their season ended. I thought I was onto a right winner with those trousers as well. Cloth and cut was good and they were only £25 a pop.
