Re: Sportswear

Does anyone else feel the varsity jacket is a thing of youth?  For some reason I feel like I'm almost too old to wear one.  Don't get me wrong, I like them.  I only recently let go of one that I owned for years.  This coming from a guy that wears paisley button downs in summer.  Just another WM idiosyncrasy.

Re: Sportswear

I think it also depends on the kind of varsity jacket. White leather contrast sleeves and loud primary colors are not for everyone.

Re: Sportswear

I have a bottle green one that I wear a lot

If you like it and it doesn't make you feel uncomfortable wearing it, age shouldn't matter

Re: Sportswear

I'm undecided on the one I picked up the other week, taken it to the cleaners and will see how it looks when it comes back.

It's true it's a younger mans look, but the above shows it can be carried off even if a bit older, think the stark white sleeve is harder to pull off as you get older than the muted cream/off white sleeve. As others have stated, it's the two tone element that makes it harder to wear and where the Golden Bear ones that are single colour fit well into the wardrobe.

Above are both great looks - really like the chap in the duffle, not owned one since primary school and would have to get a navy one if I did try one.
