I'm a 38' Harpo, anything with a 17.5 shoulder is usually ok.

Just sent that link to a pal and it's been sold - someone on here maybe?

Re: Tropical ivy

/\ the all-cotton wrinkles like crazy but that's part of the look in a way ...

but linen even though it wrinkles is really comfortable to wear in the heat ....

in the blast furnace of the tropical day there is no material that will keep you cool but cotton/poly khaki and olive and navy poplin suits from Brooks were summer workhorses for years for Southerners  .... the all-cotton could get hot but the key is to have as little lining as possible ....

nobody ever wore their coats walking to the courthouse for a hearing on a summer day in the South or in the tropics, everybody would be carrying them folded over their arm or hooked over their shoulder, sometimes folded under their arm like a newspaper while carrying their briefcases ......

if you walk fast you sweat more, but if you go slowly the sun broils you ..... here is where the cotton handkerchiefs are deployed .....

all-cotton suits would be for parties and Southern weddings, while the poplin sacks would be for the office in the summer ... with penny loafers from Brooks (Sebagos from Maine), broadcloth, end-on-end, and lighter oxfords, I loved the Press Madralytes with flap pockets for the sunglasses a lot .... cotton ties and raw silk which had the essential dry finish ....

wear the shades while walking to lunch, keep them in the flap pocket while you're in the restaurant, put them back for the walk back to the office, Cuban coffee for everybody at 2:00 to combat the lunchtime nod from the bistec de pollo, moros, platanos y Materva

Exceptionally relaxed looks Doggie.  But, big middle finger from me too.

Re: Tropical ivy

Sounds ideal - except I'll never go socklesss (unless shoeless/in sandals). Broadcloth is lighter than Oxford/pinpoint afaik, so a good move. This thread has made me consider the need for a non-leather belt for the summer months.
