Re: "Take me out to the ball game"

America ^^ Beautiful diamond.

Today was the baseball trade deadline. Lot's of cool trades, the Dodgers will likely and hopefully win it all this year but never count out The Evil Empire in their quest for number 28. We shall see what the fall classic brings. Even the Marlins are standing tall.

For the most part baseball remains unchanged and unspoiled (the McGuire/Sosa years far behind). It's still our great pastime. I always make sure to go a few spring training games and catch Major and Minor league games in the late summer.

Summers on the beach, surfing and watching baseball games at night.

Re: "Take me out to the ball game"

Criminal owner ruined what could have been a point of pride for the city. Instead the beautiful Orange Bowl is gone and a tax payer-funded  privately owned park sits there as a mark of disgrace.  On top of that the team remains underfunded, and it's a surprise they are even playing half-decently. It's  not the players fault, so I keep up with their progress but like many won't go to that stadium as long as Loria owns the team.

But yeah baseball games are fun... Was it the New Jersey Patriots?

Re: "Take me out to the ball game"

Looks like the Dodgers might go all the way this year. It doesn't get more classic than Vin Scully -  who btw will stay around for another year. My top teams are all from the National League:
Mets
Dodgers
Marlins
Cubs
Phillies
