Re: Please I.D. these shoes

Could be Vass, and Vass are the most beautiful of them (and the most expensive). They are cognac scotchgrain btw. But in the end those are typical Austro-Hungarian Norwegers that you can buy here in Vienna  everywhere... Those are the most common shoes here, even for business. I think Meermin have some, too...

Re: Please I.D. these shoes

P.S. if you ever plan to go to Budapest, there the Vass are far cheaper. And in Vienna you can get spanish made Norwegers or Czech made for far less. Starting at €180,-- Handmacher shoes (wood pegged) offer such shoes in a very good quality for about €300,--... Look into my blog, I own similsr shoes in red scotchgrain that cost €179,--

What size are you man?

There's a vintage and very cool looking pair of mid century Florhseims in 8.5 E on eBay. The seller listed them in brown and black. I bagged the brown pair but the black should still be available; at least last I looked.

You might try these for a cheaper knockoff - I have heard good reports about this mob and their shoes.

Roger Daltrey's shoes in the High Numbers, I suspect. Yuca posted pictures of him wearing these in the Hook Vents thread.

Ah, I've just seen the very picture on the page you posted! But I suspect this was his inspiration - Gibsons we always called them...

Re: Please I.D. these shoes

To me the Jam Gibson shoes look more or less like the Florsheim Norwegians Oli bought...

They had them in two tone back then, too - most of the "Jets" in the West Side Story are wearing them!

Daltrey's shoes were from Ravel weren't they? 'Continental' model?
