Re: Recent Old Ivy Finds

I wonder if anyone's ever bought a pair of solid nylon socks and been dissatisfied? "The elastics too tight!" Haha

Is that a B.Altman Gant Wooly?

Re: Recent Old Ivy Finds

The 10" rise on my waist size worries me a little.  They do look nice though.  I've had that site bookmarked for a while now, so I await your critique.

Re: Recent Old Ivy Finds

^WM,  they are closer in styling to the current 519's rather than the original LVC re-issue.
They aren't perfect but at half the price of the LVCs they may work for a few members.

The wranglers  are another, even cheaper option (£18.75 over at Sheplers at the mo'),
I think their virtues have been extolled on another thread by yourself.

Re: Recent Old Ivy Finds

Perhaps it's just the model, but did you double check the sleeve measurements?  Those sleeves look a bit short for an outerwear garment.  I don't like any shirt or jacket cuff to show on an overcoat, as it's entire purpose is to cover up the goods.

Seller has a few other items of interest:

There were some Keydge jackets and JS bits up earlier too; forum member?

Re: Recent Old Ivy Finds

It measures 18" across the shoulders which should be spot on with layering. I may need to alter it slightly, but it's doubtful since the sellers says it's slightly small on him with just a shirt underneath.
