Rousing, eh ?
What's the use of worrying? It never was worthwhile...
Help requested for a new Ivy Bag.
Please ?
My old Green canvas number is falling apart.
Only you can save me from carrying around an old Tesco's bag ....
Thank you very glad -
x
What ever happened to those satchel-type bags made from webbing material that you used to get from army and navy stores? Everyone had them at school (not you you Jim - you probably had an elephant-hide steamer case for your top hat and rugger kit) Mine was emblazoned with "The Specials" written in thick black magic marker. I'd use one of those now if I could find one.

Oh yeah, they came in a washed out grey/blue or a faded puss yellow - double buckle straps on the front, all the kids had them who were into music, all the sport kids had Incontinence pants or Surgical appliance bags.
That's the ones. Seemingly compulsory across the entire UK state school system for a decade. The straps had metal tips.
I had my brother draw the Neds Atomic Dustbin logo on mine, I believe the fashion died out shortly following that.

^ Like that, but they had rucksack double shoulder straps - noyt the manbag style.
Actually, cancel that - I see some of them do! They're spot on they are. May have to invest.

Actually though, looking at the measurements, they're pretty tiny aren't they?
Perhaps they're just the over shoulder fishing style version - not the full double strap pack version, which you don't seem to see around now. Shame.

RRL did some interesting canvas courier satchel type bags last season, I bought one, but I bit small really - not big enough for a laptop and not long enough to take A4 paper. Still looks good though.
