Still all made in France? Nice looking new loafer, the Princeton, on JS Facebook page, but I reckon they've gone for a bit of cheap foreign labour on this one. Anyone know?

The sole on the Princeton looks slimmer than Paraboot's normal rubber sole (which makes sense for a penny loafer).
Any experience with the Adonis? I generally prefer a flat-strap, and I am rather taken with its clunky look: http://www.pediwear.co.uk/paraboot/products/2553.php

Welting and beefrolls looks similar to the Lorens/Lormoc/John Spencer, I'd say. Better leather though.

Talking of John Rushton...as I'm now back working in W1, I thought I'd take a lunchtime constitutional up there....and Jeez...he really didn't have much in stock...
He's selling off the Lormocs/Lorens - down to around £85 in what's left - Tbh, my pair fell apart so really don't rate em!
Ironically - he's doing business with John Spencer again and has a few of their pennies as they're very reliable he says...UNLIKE ALFRED SARGENT...who sound like a complete & utter bunch of bell-ends!!
He seemed v peeved that after years of doing business with them , they 're now a bit too big for their insoles... and won't make him up tried n trusted ranges that John knows will sell...all a bit melancholy bringdown sadly..
Fifth Avenue on Goodge St is literally around the corner from me now meanwhile and they always seem to have a few interesting bits...especially if you like Paraboots...which I've still to commit to though they do look great...and do great repais too for the record...again...as I may have mentioned that before....?

I have two pairs of Paraboots and I haven't felt the need to cut the label off. Normally I'm anti logos etc but, as you say, it is very small and discrete. It sends out a subtle message to other Paraboot wearers who by all rights have their own sub culture within ivy.

I've seen the Michael model in terrible variations. Some even with fur applications on the vamp.
Maroon is my fave, but black or brown is fine, too.
How anyone would do such a rustic, sturdy shoe in a patent leather... I'll never understand!?!

Are you the same size in all Woof?
The Michaels seem way smaller than the Avignons/Preverts...and their loafers are quite roomy.....
Doesn't help that some are sold here in UK sizes...some in Johnny Bloody Foreigner sizing....
