Possibly, firstly the collar is closed so no idea if it rolls, secondly it looks like the sizing maybe on the small side, thirdly I wonder how big the collar is?
But aren't Beams Plus part of Ships and Beams, if I'm right, this article on The Weejun means maybe I shouldn't be so cynical?

Looks good to me except for the sleeve hem with that ugly cuffed stitching which kind of ruins it.
Not bad though I am always suspicious of the collar size on modern shirts.
The sleave length leaves me a bit cold too, they look a little short to me.
Given the choice I would go for a half sleeve.
Anyone know if John Simons is planning any popovers for the summer ?
I would sit tight if he is as you can be assured of a bit more roll for your dough
I asked Paul about this, I don't think so- but if we all keep pestering them? I know they plan to get some Reyn Spooner in though.
Just don't expect a humungous roll on the Reyns.
Reyn Spooners are in (or at least they were on Saturday)
Moose is correct about the roll but the pattern, although muted, should distract.
Just checked the website, nothing I'm interested in on there which is a shame... anyone know of anyone else that stocks Reyn over here?

there on the shop web sit
Yeah I've noticed you're right about the pattern - roll is more noticeable on a plain shirt where it's a deal-breaker for me
Keep an eye out on ebay - I've picked up nice ones from Gant (even some of their recent popovers were ok) and people like cable car clothiers
Chis & Lloyd may still have some RS-ers....
I've only got non button down vintage ones...and BD collars do always loo small on these I have to say...but of course...not a problem if one is an affectacious TWAT like wot eye is... and is happy flapping in the breeze...
I have a Beams+ popover. They're by no means a Southwick for Ships shirt, but the collars aren't deal-breakingly bad for me at least - comparable to the better end of Ralph Lauren collars I guess? On a really casual, short sleeved shirt, a smaller collar like this certainly doesn't ruin it.
There are great things about them though! The cut is proper (proper half sleeve, proper boom years cut in the body) and they use proper good cloths (I have a navy/green horizontal stripe in a heavy oxford weave). And they're made in Japan!
I probably wouldn't buy one outside of a sale, but at £83 they're not ridiculously priced for what you get.
Keep an eye out for vintage BD Baggies. They're perfect; even into the '80s. Full cut with proper half sleeves and soft unlined collars. Highly recommended.
no popovers but anyone had any experience with these B.D Baggies shirts on the market at the moment in the UK ?

Great Divide has them as well
Collars are unlined to but would need to see it on to see what they're really like
I think these are the same ones

They look a bit of a modern cut - short in the body -pretty slim (it say size up)
Yeah they're darted at the back - you can see it better here
might still be worth a look though -collars look nice

I think those popovers are quite nice. I of the same opinion as Adam about the smaller collar being no deal breaker on a short sleeved popover. I also like the cuffed sleeve
