Hi - Yeah those look pretty nice and a decent price

They have had odd policy of not stocking everything on line in the stores though I've found

I went into the central London office to try on their shawl cardigan and they told me I'd have to buy it - get it in the shop - then get a refund if I didn't like it

Which doesn't seem that helpful

Good field research Woof.  Always nice to have another possible khaki option.  Too bad I can count myself out, as the smallest waist size is 32.

This promotion might be enough for me to take the plunge. How do you find them size wise?
I have several pairs of Uniqlo chinos and take a 36" in those but I'm sure there is an element of vanity sizing.

I am awaiting delivery of a pair of the very same, on Woof's recommendation, so I will give my verdict  in due course.

Re: I believe in Orvis khakis!

Have just received my second pair. They are excellent.

I attended a science lecture yesterday. There was a quote by Dr. Tyson, "we're not the only world to think about worlds unknown." I wondered if some life form billions of light years away was enjoying his khakis just as much as I was, and I wondered what those khakis might look like. Just jumbles of stardust here for but a fraction of time, but here we are together in our fragile little worlds, comfortable in our trousers and looking forward to our post-speech stimulants. Exiting, I looked up at the night sky, gave a nod and a wink and moved on to my destiny without rhino ass.

Wow!  This is exciting. Thank you, Woof, for posting.  I just bought a pair of Koratron's off Ebay and then see these- wow.  Will check for an Orvis in NYC...

Definitely go with 1.5" cuffs, Colin.

I like to go by the 5th button placket rule for where the waist should ideally sit on a Makers; those aren't bad looking though.

Agreed, Oliver. 'Not bad' is my analysis. Again, worth stating that I am tall.

Re: I believe in Orvis khakis!

Have put them in the wash to see how much they shrink. I think the rise is probably about 12" maybe a shade under. Will update shortly.

Re: I believe in Orvis khakis!

Update: post-wash measurement comes in at a Worried Man-worrying 11.5" rise.
Also the pockets 'flair' a little bit which is vaguely annoying.

Still looking for a pair ~13"-13.5 rise but I shall wear these whilst I search.
