RL is often spot-on, particularly on the chino front, but sadly, not with the latest lines. The jackets are often good too, but not always, I wouldn't risk unless I had tried them on.

MM- Theyre indeed keydge and I wouldve had one if theyd gone up to ly size as they did seem longer...they stop at a 46

Thanks for all the help, fellas. I imagine it's unlikely I'd save any money ordering through JS as opposed to directly from Keydge, but it's good to know they're still active! I feel Keydge jackets are worth the investment but I'm not interested in a solid-colored jacket. The plaid of the one I linked to isn't breathtaking, but I think I'll really enjoy it. Just need to sell a few more things to get the funds to buy it!

I love my navy cotton Keydge. It was the first one I bought. And the more i were the tan cotton/linen mix the more I love it rumpled beauty. You'll be please, I think,  when you get them, Joey.

Hahaha it happens to the best of us! Thanks for the encouragement, Chief. I think I'll get both of the jackets I'm looking at (navy cotton and POW linen/cotton).

Secret tip for anyone else thinking about getting a Keydge soon: I contacted the Keydge headquarters earlier today and they told me there will be a 20% off private sale (you just need to be on the email list) next weekend.

I know most of the Keydge folk here shop at JS but I'm gonna take advantage of this sale and order from France.

How do you pronounce "Keydge" anyway?

Hm, I've always said "Keej" but I don't trust myself. I don't know if there's even another Keydge jacket (let alone a dealer) within 1000 miles of me. Who are the American fans of Keydge on this site? Surely I'm not the only one. But I digress.

I thought maybe it might be "Key-edge" but I'm not keen on French pronunciation. If the JS guys say it "Kee-juh" then I guess I'll defer to that.

That is a gorgeous jacket, too, Chief. The pattern looks very "Old Money" to me, like in the 1980s-90s Ralph Lauren suits that all the rich folk in my home town (Kansas City) wore (and probably still wear). I mean that in a good way. Back in the day, I bet my dad had a Woolf Brothers sport coat with that kind of POW, except his would have been more 1980s Wall Street tailoring than 1960s TNSIL.

Too bad that jacket is only offered in the "Ace" cut, which I gather is basically the same as the "Ivy" jacket, only without most of the Ivy details- still a three-button, but with double vents, welt pockets, four-button cuffs, and darts.

That's a hell of a price tag for a Keydge though!

I easily could have talked myself into this suit if it had Ivy details, but alas, the "slack suits" on the website all come with "Ace" jackets rather than the "Ivy" model. Does JS carry Keydge suits with Ivy details?

Not every Ivy League jacket was single vented. Some even eschew Centre vented jackets, as jackets for boys. Side vents are for grown ups apparently. Like the two button cuff…an obvious "American" detail. However "The Ivy League Look" is the look, is the look… etc. I think the Ace has enough of the Ivy spirit in it. And If Irving Press says side vents and 2 button jackets are Ivy then who am I to disagree…
