Out of curiosity, when did it come into vogue for fans to wear sports jerseys in the team colors? I first became aware of this when my office moved into a building adjacent to Angels Stadium in Anaheim in March, 2009, and the parking structure we used was also used for Angels games. Opening Day took place about the time of our move, and as I entered the parking structure one evening, I saw hordes of people moving from the structure toward the stadium, almost all of them uniformly clad in red and white Angels jerseys. They seemed, by and large, like a rough, sinister-looking lot, and I even commented to that effect to my wife that evening. The next morning my suspicions were confirmed when I learned a fan had been murdered in altercation at the stadium that evening.

^Who the hell changed "sports jerseys" to "skid-marked underparts" in my post above?
^What kind of mischief is going on this thread?
/\ Capt, P, there's a system in place that screws around with certain words that spammers use routinely and j*erseys is one of them ......
others include s*occer (Girls Ball games) and N*ike (Surgical appliance) ... other posters may recall additional examples
j*erseys = Skid marked underpants
/\ farrago gets the as-yet-to-be-determined prize! yes Marion Motley wore Chucks as football shoes!
