Re: Timothy Leary tie question

That's a great shot. Think its just a slim wool tie with a standard end?

You still wanna sell me your tab collar?

Re: Timothy Leary tie question

Yeah, Tim looked good in the early 60s (minus the hair..). I have some photos of him in the Cool Pic thread.

ZarJazz: Nope, I haven't! What's it called, since I assume that there are several out there.

Tommy: As soon as I find a new tab collar I will ship mine to you! Promise.

WM: Thanks!

And yes, without doubt one good looking jacket. Slim lapels?

Reminds me of Johnny Dolphin, the poet, ecologist and more who is pictured in an herringbone sack jacket in Tangiers with Terry Taylor (50s Soho Modernist, author) in 1961.

Re: Timothy Leary tie question

Thanks for that Oli! Read it last night, but I have to read it again. How much acid did Paul take? Haha.

stanshall: that tie looked really nice, but shouldn't it be slimmer? I only ask since from what I've gained when wearing a tab-collar the tie should be slim.

Re: Timothy Leary tie question

Nice, now I have something too work with! Too bad that it says "May not ship to Sweden" (as usual...)

I have to contact the seller and ask him, because it looked really nice! Now I just I have to get that GREAT-looking tweed.

Really? How was he, I expect that he didn't wear any of that nice clothes he rocked in the 60s....

Re: Timothy Leary tie question

I have to resurrect this thread: but 'm searching for a knit tie and from what I've seen (and read) the knit tie must be a bit more slim then regular ties. I found one on Kamakuras site, but priceing at $69 I to look for other options. The other thing about the Kamakura ones was that the width was 8 cm (which is about 3") and I don't know what the golden rule says, but isn't 3" a bit too big for a knit tie?

Rooster was the brand I was searching for! Thanks. I think that 2" will be great.
