Chief, I seem to remember Sonofstan recommending C&D Shoes on Charlemont St as being good, as have others in the real world, so maybe that's where you're thinking of?

I've had a few pairs of shoes resoled to a reasonably satisfactory degree in a couple of places - the Italian heel bar off Sth Anne St is grand, though I suspect better for da ladeez (Mrs Bundyburger swears by them), while there's an old school shoe repair place near me in Kimmage that does a great job on loafers and Loakes, but I'm not sure I'd let him near my vintage Florsheims.
