Afternoon all,
Picked up a lovely cotton knit tie on the weekend. Tiesa great knot. From a maker I've never head of. Here's the label:

Does anyone know anything about them?
Isn't this a generic label for one of the US department store chains?
A bit like St Michael was to Marks and Spencer( for the Breeteesh chums).
The logo looks very similar so I say that's the mystery solved, right there. Cheers, Woof.
Yeah Stafford was one of the middling department stores (JC Penney sounds right). I think it as USA stuff. And it was an example of how the "Ivy" style really permeated everything. It was just basic stuff and a guy going to get new shirts and ties who picked this up without perhaps thought to the Holy Trad.

Nice find. Fox label. Definitely not trad.
I like the women in the old catalogs. I just realize my life took a turn somewhere, and I probably can't go back. Here's hope 'gainst hope that a middlish-life crisis sorts that out. And either confirms or denies the possibility.
Having said that, who made Tough Skins? (quick google says Sears). I think Vaclav sported the tough skins at some, point.
