Indeed - alright if your weekend hobby is  military re-enactment though.

I like my J. Crew version from back in 2009. It's tricky, though, because it has to be combined with the right clothes, or else one does tend to look either homeless or clueless. But I think it can be a solid casual choice.

^That was quite an in-look with the Uomo Pitti crowd a couple of years back. It can look quite interesting, so long as the M65 is a long version.

I agree the special edition celebrating the 50 years of the M65 is over designed for what essentially is a utilitarian jacket for the Vietnam highlands and Woody Allen in the 1970s. The Alpha trench version in the navy looks a much better option and has the length to cover a sports blazer. I purchased the Buzz Rickson/History Preservation version a couple of years back, it was a bit too velcro'd-up for my liking and exchanged it for 1942 field coat which gets very little wear, but is interesting.

This came as a pop-up on my screen today, no idea what the quality is like, they do a good range of replica military kit..
