I'm a member of the fan club!
I actually have this membership card and pin set! I used to wear the pin on a vintage denim vest over a striped long sleeved breton tee with my oversized Monkees fan club button during my long helmet haired teen-beat-nik days.
haha PLEASE post pics of this if you've got any
seriously though, Huckleberry Hound was laid-back and his Southern drawl didn't make him sound stupid at all .... he remains very cool .....
I need to see some vintage cartoons, some Klondike Kat, Tennessee and Chumley, Yakky Doodle and Chopper, Commander McBragg ...
This is the closest I could find... unfortunately Huck is cut off by the dude standing next to me (I think Bobby from The Gruesomes or Tim from Sundazed Recs?) but you get the idea... that was my college look. I would've had my giant Monkees fan club pin, Huckleberry Hound and vintage (Lantz era) Oswald the Lucky Rabbit pins on the other side.

/\ that pic's got a '67 Roger Corman biker flick vibe to it .... you were so baked ......
by the way Oswald the Lucky Rabbit didn't wear Ivy either!
I did have a framed copy of The Glory Stompers OST hanging on my wall at some point...
Goofy was probably the ivy-est cartoon character in his 1950's Jack Kinney suburban dad (Mr. Geef) phase.
And Willie Whopper dresses like Thee Captain.
This has nothing to do with ivy but still... this appeared as a sponsored ad in my Facebook newsfeed.
I'm not sure what's worse, the twenty year old hipster tailor in black stockings and waistcoat with a fucking sun dial on his wrist or the person inside those stirrup pants!
One more reason I avoid the internet as much as possible these days.
Pretty sure that's a tailor's pincushion on his wrist.
But... but... I like boat shoes.
