Double cuff shirts

Friends, what is your view on wearing DC shirts on weekends, with a sweater, or with an odd jacket? As I am known for my minimalism, I would hate to reblud my wardrobe with an additional slate of button cuff shirts. I also have gotten used to wearing double cuffs, so wearing a button cuff feels both too tight and too short.

Re: Double cuff shirts

Easier with a jacket than a jumper IMO. Go for it if you like wearing double cuffs all the time. Silk knots might be easier with a jumper than other links.

Re: Double cuff shirts

Yes, that is true. They are especially comfortable because they stretch a bit.

Re: Double cuff shirts

With a sweater? I am not so sure, I only wear a wafer Ole Mathieson watch with jumpers anyway as I like them tight around the cuff, so it wouldn't really work for me. And wouldn't in stretch the jumper?

I would definitely sport a double cuff shirt with a tank top sweater and at weekends, if I was going somewhere, not for lounging around the house though.

Re: Double cuff shirts

So the question is: does one have to stick to the igent AAAAC rules to wear clothes in their designated context or to hell with it?

Re: Double cuff shirts

No, my position was one of stretching the fabric and losing shape. Is it a risk, or not?

Re: Double cuff shirts

Checking it out today with a grey M&S jumper and cufflinked shirt. I suppose the knack is to keep the cuffed part of the shirt exposed.

Re: Double cuff shirts

Yes pull the jumper's sleeve cuff from the shirts cuff so that 2cm of shirt are visible, and a glimpse of cufflink
