I know it is heresy and I do like Wing Tips but I do not like these much. I like Brogues more chunky and rounded, with the leather punching stronger. If they look close to a Derby, I would rather just wear a Derby. This is just me but at that price I would rather some Cheaney or equivalent Brogues with a more British country style.

No, not heresy M. Shape wise they do look more reminiscent of an Allen Edmonds Macneil rather than a Florsheim imperial.
I like my gunboats clunky,the leather looks good on the JS though.

Not impressed with these at all,
was dubious when they appeared on the Rancourt site but seeing them in the flesh at JS really put me off.
The leather is great quality, so's the construction BUT the shape looks wrong for a long-wing IMHO

Are these made in the USA? If so £395 doesn't seem too bad as you would pay that for a pair of AE McNeills.
