What I bought today ....

Or rather what I would have bought if I  had won last night's Lotto ... Thought I would revive the old Modculture staple with these overpriced babies from the Real McCoys  - a snip at £250 .... 😓 anybody know of any affordable alternates?

Interesting, what scene was that? I still see them occasionally... a nice boot to see amid all the Air Wairs (not that I have anything wrong with Martens)...

Love that photo Sidewinder!

The McCoy's look a bit clunky, but maybe it's just that picture. I really fancy a pair of these:

Re: What I bought today ....

Thank you for all the responses - actually popped into The Real McCoys yesterday to  see them in the flesh and for the money was anticipating something hewn out of granite ... what I actually found was a bog standard pair of pumps . £250 worth ? I somehow think not ... hmm  With Woof helpfully pointing me in the right direction - I plumped for these from Novesta - £37 delivered ! Fear not gentle reader - With my advancing years I won't be wearing them either sockless or with my 'boyband' jeans .....

^

Nice indeed GeorgieBoy - but still a tad expensive for plimsolls at 99 Euros? I showed Mrs Chuck the Real McCoys version and asked what sort of idiot would pay £250 for a pair of pumps - she retorted - "somebody like you ... "  smile

Re: What I bought today ....

True. The Novestas are €74 so for the extra bit of cash I'd rather the Spalwarts.

Re: What I bought today ....

Never come across the Spalwarts.. seem a great option too..
A for the Real Mac Daddies…I’m not sure I’d plunge even if moolah wasnae an issue?!?
I remain a bit of a trainers man on the side of course…so could easily spend it elsewhere of course..

Palladiums. Entirely new to me--knew nothing about these before this thread, but I just may have found my new favorite shoe. Will have to look out for them.

General everyday fashion scene. Worn for jumping up and down in fields on drugs to the beat of acid house amongst other more orthodox uses, such as wearing down to the shops or a pub.

That's a great buy Georgie.
Those Sperry CVOs will become a staple very quickly.
