We are all aware of Paraboot but interesting to see other French footwear of some stylistic relevance.

Thanks.
Mephisto shoes always seem like old age pensioner footwear to me, so I'll start looking at them in three years time.
Bexley shoes are worth a look, there are some good traditional Derbys and American styled loafers in their range, for example the Yale loafer ..... which they refer to as 'the British look' - how very French! I would say the quality is on a par with Loakes, maybe a bit better.

They have several branches in Paris, Marseilles and Lyon and there is always a discount offer for buying two pairs.
Interesting about Bexley - I looked a few times but never pulled the trigger.
Woof - the Bexley shirts look potentially interesting. Any experience with them? At that price it's worth taking a risk.
Them Mephisto & Arcus shoes ur fuckin' monstrosities.

A lot of nice shoes there, thanks Chief...
But -
"Des basiques de la mode nord américaine," haha... Great as these look, and scarce as good shoes at a reasonable price point have become here in the US, it would be hard for me to buy shoes marketed as American icons from France... It just seems like giving up somehow...

Thanks Acton Baby. I recall dimly that there was a similar discussion on the shirts a few years ago now.
Bexley shoe trees are smaller than the other brands I use. Easy to put in the shoes, but they don't force them into shape so much.
Shoes are fine calf leather. I covered the soles( Woolworths stick on soles - so they are a fair age now)as they tell you in the shop. They have long wings; but I bought wholecuts and a single monk in black. Shoe sizes are variable. Sized down for wholecut; sized up for the monk.
