Re: Sportswear

If you do go for the fruit of the loom Tommy..I feel that the barrel chested amongst us might want to go up a size.. depends were you sit on the end of either size..but I felt like the 48-50 was a bit tight

Re: Sportswear

^ that's how I got mine but via my old myUSA account (similar kind of thing to Bongo).

I've heard good things about using Bongo,
allows you to take advantage of any 'free domestic US shipping' offers
pretty low postage rates
and ship via France (as it has a slightly higher threshold for import duty and VAT)
so if your buying a lot from the US it can be very cost effective.

Re: Sportswear

Just had a look at that Bongo website. Looks good, but do you know how much commission they charge for the service? Couldn't see at first glance. Does it work out a cheaper option than using eBay's Global Ripoff Program?

Re: Sportswear

Rokit (one of the more expensive - especially online - vintage stores) has some rather wonderful 40's Superknit white sweats, but the price matches. Would love one but i'm saving for an Aero Jacket. About halfway down the page.

Re: Sportswear

Can someone point me to some nice hoodies? Champions reverse weave weighed a ton on me, couldn't wear it, though I like the grey one, colorwise. Sunspel might have some, but it's on the pricer side. Any suggestions?

Now if was shopping for a hoodie, I am not sure if I would ever google "pullover parka". Sounds like how I imagine RodtheMod met his boyfriend...

Re: Sportswear

I've eased off sportswear to a degree as have plenty but the LVC hoodies in the last year or so were excellent and The Real McCoys loopy loops the mutts...again...cos the fit for me was spot on... would love more vintage but NEVER find anything to fit old Gutbucket here...
