GH Bass Europe '12 days of xmas sale' continues.
Today ( wed 14th Dec) suede Weejuns -50%
https://www.ghbass-eu.com/
I can't be trusted with suede in this weather.
^ Scotchguard and some galoshes might help.
^ More CSI than Ivy.
I have just ordered a pair of their Camp mocs.
Anyone got them ?
Yes I have three pairs bought recently - I got one and they ware so good I got all three colours. I'm wearing them almost exclusively at present. I'm just back from Devon where they stood up to walking, beaches etc with no detriment.
Is this the camp mocs rather than the Blucher Mocs M ?
Its is confusing as Bass seem to call both Camp mocs.
Good point - I got the ones called 'Ranger Montgomery'.
These are the ones I got:

They aren't actually shown on the Camp Moc page but on the Outdoors once here:

The Jackman model is similar, lighter for summer.

I find the Ranger Montgomery is still perfect but summer but a bit more robust.
The Ranger Moc II is a boot version of the ones I have including some with a Crocodile teeth sole (but beware those with suede on the apron, eugh).

Nice Armchaired. You need to wear them lakeside in a New York upstate summer cabin holiday while cooking some steak and readying the cocktails for guests coming over.
Camp-Ivy? Perhaps not.
As it happens i will be slinging some steak on the BBQ and making a laced jug of sangria later.
Its upstate surrey though
I think that counts as our equivalent.
Mocs in Devon last week was good amongst the surfer crowd. Shorts, polo, Mocs w/o socks, one of those zip up jumpers for later and an olive drab short hooded rain coat was order of the day.
I popped in here for the first time last week...and they've a fair few bits, eh?
I got a bit confused by the fella's spiel there as to where they're actually made these days mind?!?!?
Is it China or El Salvador again...?
Or have I totally confused conversations....which is highly likely?!?!?
How are the Camp Mocs finding ya AC?
I fancy some currently but know not where to go...
Used to loathe them...but we all change in our tastes, eh? Maybe summat with a chunkier sole methinks?!?
Hi Thee Captain,
the ones with the chunky soles I have are wearing well:

They didn't have them in the Soho shop, I ordered directly which went well for me. Arrived each time within two days.
I see online they are discounted to £80 online which is a genuine bargain.

^ +1 the Russell are the mutts nuts, but ordering from the UK can be a nightmare with them.
Rancourt do great formal shoes but the rougher end ( canoe mocc, ranger mcc) are a bit too sedate and refind IMHO.
i think those styles seem to really benefit from a slightly rougher look.
for the money these are great as beaters ( the saddle colour ages really nicely)
