Re: The Question of Sneakers

I have a pair of PBs in their 'wider' fit. They're pretty narrow.

But otherwise true to size. UK 8.5 like all my other UK shoes.

Re: The Question of Sneakers

a question regarding the converse 70 reissues: how do they run size wise compared to the regular chucks? should i size up/down? or do they run true to size? i am usually a us9.5 but in the regular chucks i wear a us8.5. any help is appreciated!

Re: The Question of Sneakers

/\  good memory BB, unfortunately I couldn't get the fit right on the Cortez and I had to return them, which was galling because they looked good on me when I was marching about the house trying them on .....

the summer of '16 saw me order and return too many pairs of N!kes, including a couple of pairs of Roshes which Bop and Doghouse turned me on to, which looked great but rubbed me raw .....

currently my N!ke holdings include several good t-shirts, a couple of pairs of slides, and a couple of pairs of vintage ACG hiking boots (in great condition, fortunately)

their customer service has been great, I just wish their sneakers fit me better ..... I never used to have problems with them .....

I'm still after some good Dunks ......

Re: The Question of Sneakers

If you go to the oi polloi website you should be able to see Incontinence pants' remake of an old german army plim...I'm not completely taken by them but they are interesting..

/\  I saw those German Army Incontinence pants when they came out here a month or two ago, they looked good, but you know, the association left me a bit cold ... design-wise I liked them ......

Re: The Question of Sneakers

Nice, I run a bit myself but get tendonitis, probably brought on by cycling and not stretching enough, then running and pulling my calf muscles.
I used to wear their fell shoes when running for the school back in the 80s.

Re: The Question of Sneakers

Remember when Oliver, who insisted that all things in his life be retro, caused severe damage to his feet by going out running in vintage Keds? ....lol

He was a cracker, shame we don't hear anything from him anymore. It seems from his FB page that he's heavily into politics and campaigning on social issues and probably can't be bothered with trivia like clothes. ..... he seems to be into some sort of communist ideaology - mid century retro politics I guess!
