I have something very similar from Iron & Resin which only came on my radar because my employer was UK distributor. It required minor use of the trusty seam ripper, but I wear it a lot in the office over autumn/winter.

Decided to stop lurking and maybe post occasionally once again.. Wanted for autumn:
Argyle socks in muted autumn colours, browns, dusky oranges, deep greens and reds.
A pair of brown Longwings.
A pair of black Longwings.
Whale cords in navy blue and burgundy.
Golden sandy-coloured chinos with a decent turn up.
Sanders/Huttons playboys in snuff.
More button-downs.
Natural-shoulder, 3/2 roll, centre vented, not-too-wide lapel sports coat in Donegal Tweed.
As above in needlecord, maybe mid-brown.
Paraboot split toes.
Lots more, none of which will happen as I live in a perpetual world of skint.

/\ yah mon, but meanwhile you can deffo go for the argyle socks so you can stay in the game, but you'll be proud of yourself when you slim down a bit, Thee Captain can help you with that, he swears by his Richard Simmons workout videos, that's where he nicked his "trademark" lunge move from, and remember:

Theyre not as pretty but you can get waterproof dessies now with winter treads from Clarks I'd you need the look all year round

Woof, on your visit to Lyon (I lived nearby in Saint-Priest for a year)...
the Bexley store is worth a visit on rue Lanterne for some cheap beaters,
Heschung on rue Gasparin is lovely but might bankrupt you
'Pop and Shoes' is a lovely shop if it's still there, it's a 'pop-up' shop so might have closed/moved
Le Chaudron is great spot for dinner, good food and interesting wine list and not nosebleed pricing.
