London area - looking for suggestions for a place where they can shorten a pair of jeans without lashing the selvedge up.
Thank you!
Son of a Stag at the Old Truman Brewery always used to do it, no idea if that's still the case however. They even had a Union Special to reproduce the chain stitch correctly.
Yep - Son of a Stag...I had some White Levis shortened there, and they did a great job! They only charge about a tenner too.
Rivet and Hide in Fitzrovia also do a great service in person (they can usually do it within the hour when I've been there) or by post for £20 including postage.
I've sent stuff off to them before and got it back exactly as specified.
Son of a Stag or Rivet and Hide. ~Both do great work
Son of a stag are great. £20 in person and next day turnaround usually. They genuinely know what looks good / correct as well.
Many thanks for the suggestions chaps. I went to Hide and Rivet as I was dutifully doing the Oxford St trek with Mrs Woof.
Great service and well worth having them done with the proper chain stitching. tthe guy who did them even delivered them to the pub up the road where I was waiting!
