Baseball cap

Some days my hair is a complete mess and I need to wear a cap. I have a plain NY with a strap in the back, but it's getting kinda boring and I'm after a new one. I looked at Ebbets Field and though they look nice they have the strap in the back, which I DON'T want.
I haven't seen many pictures of baseball caps worn much in the 60s, and I'm pretty sure that it's not on the most sought-after ivy items list. I want a solid plain cap with the team name on the front and nothing else; no strap, no New Era logo on the side, nothing in the back. Is there any other options than Ebbets?

Some help to find a plain one?

Interesting. All my EF caps are fitted. I'd check that again... If they're only doing strapbacks now, things have really changed over there. What's your head size?

I'm feeling some of stan's white polos sadness these days, as one of my favorite dumb 1960s looks, the golf tournament baseball cap, has also been co-opted by our new overlords here in the States...

Also, the Yankees suck.

Sancho, Ebbets is currently offering four caps with different "NY" logos from four different teams of the past, and they also have a plain cap in navy wool, and all of these caps are offered in sizes and are also offered with the option of an adjustable leather strap ....

check the Ebbets site:

Re: Baseball cap

Goorin Brothers do a few plain baseball caps, the quality is good and they are one size adjustable fit.

LL Bean are worth a look too. I recently treated myself to on of these for the winter:

Really nice shape and lined with wool felt.

Just avoid anything with a flat peak.

Re: Baseball cap

In addition to all the advice above, take a little time to figure out what your ball cap size is. For example, 7 1/4" and so forth. I don't like the adjustable straps.

Re: Baseball cap

I think a lot of European suppliers only really offer the strap backs because obvs they don't have to carry the full inventory.

Sancho check out their website they do an offer of 3 caps for 99 dollars. Near enough a 3 for 2

Dirty bucks I want you, dirty bucks I need you, woh-oh.

Some fitted here, but shipping to Europe is only $15 I believe and my trip arrived very quickly and was helped by a $10 off code.

Re: Baseball cap

Thanks for the feed guys!

The Ebbets caps I have looked at was from a swedish site and all of those were strapbacks. Wonder why they don't have anyone without.

Tommy: send some pic if you get the chance. Would love to see.

Anyone know where I could find a baseball cap in this design these days?

Ideal Caps is the successor of the late Cooperstown Ballcap company.

They'll do a fitted plain cap. I got one for fishing, it's fine.

They do adjustables too. If you're like me, with bushy hair that grows fast, sometimes adjustable is the way to go.

I love the Ideal Cap Co, I have their Krazy Kat cap... Looking for that old kind of long-bill cap, though -
