Hahaha this outfit is awesome! Horizontal wale cords, really cool, plus Wallabees... You ever wear collar pins kyle?

Yes, Kyle pulls off it off effortlessly and makes horizontal cords and Wallabees look good!  I bought a pair of horizontals cheap on eBay once, they needed hemming up so took them to my tailor and he just looked at them, shook his head and and said 'Zey are very stupid'. They never worked for me and they soon went to the charity shop.

On the collar pin front: I never liked the idea of collar pins as surely they must damage the shirt collar?

However I always fancy trying a collar bar, one of those that looks like a little dumbell and unscrews on one end. There are some on that link you posted You have to have a little hole with buttonhole stitching on each collar wing of the shirt to use one. Could be a fun little project - on the other hand it might put you into dandy territory.

Yesterday. Brooks Brothers University Shop darted three-patch pocket blazer, Brooks Makers tie, Mercer shirt, Belted Cow belt, vintage Army khakis... Some drizzle yesterday, so Bean boots on the feet...

As a whole, they don't. But they did make that linen jacket a few years ago which turned out to be pretty serviceable. It did require a lot of alteration - shortening the jacket and sleeves; swapping the cheap plastic buttons for decent MOP. Luckily, my tailor didn't charge an arm and leg for all that so I was willing to take the plunge. The main thing for me was the fact that the shoulders were right.

Thanks a lot, Lee... And yes, the alterations on that Uniqlo were definitely worth it!

Oh man, definitely... I also picked up a pair of 1980s Levi's Regulation chinos, basically the same exact design but with a slightly lower rise, I need to get them altered slightly but when they're done I'll post some pics... If you ever see them on eBay though you can know they're good... Sanforized too...
