Mort Sahl, still with us, and, at least up until the beginning of the pandemic, still doing a weekly livestream/live gig at the Throckmorton Theatre in Mill Valley, CA. I would often watch it. He's a little harder to understand at first and his hearing is a bit failing, but he's still sharp, incisive, funny. I remember a good skewering of Kamala Harris during the primaries.
I almost joined the Proud Boys. But they disallow masturbation. No use to me as an inveterate wanker. Jewish humour - yeah!
There is a useful little programme on USA comedians by Mark Thomas available on iplayer, where he gets them to do an act to a UK audience - while they are still around. Mort is one of them. Still available I think at https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b0076w5y
Couldn't get it to play. Lots of good stuff by him on youtube however. And some of his recent streams are archived too.
Quite a life. Quite a lifetime. Wasn't it Eubie Blake who, when he reached the age he did (about 101) said if he'd known he'd live so long he'd have taken better care of himself?
