It's A Legal Matter, Baby !

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YBMEFxEhu_8

... Never see my name on Ivy-Sty.Con these days, do you ?

... Because Chens just can't now after all his threats along with Goodfella against my 8 year old daughter.

PMSL.

Muppet.

I really hope he responds to this so I can get him in prison... But only in a lighthearted way...

... And where is Goodfella ?

Even Chens has dumped him now.

Oh Dear.  Threatening children is never wise.

... It could cost you advertisers, 'Christian'...   wink

Re: It's A Legal Matter, Baby !

- Nothing to do with me, I should add.

Actually it's a great story with a ton of media potential: A Godfather and his 8 year old Goddaughter and a misfit called 'Christian'...

... With Gedes thrown in in the 'Igor' role.

... And the FBI.

Without the child menacing dimension to this they wouldn't have been remotely interested. The thinking is that if this is going on then what else is going on? So the nasty pair of them are going to be given a jolly good looking at to make sure all is as it should be. Bravo!

Let's hope the creeps have nothing to hide for their sake.

Now I must go to my bookshop where everyone is nice.

Hi guys! Been checkin our pictures of that beast Chinfold over on his ghastly little toilet wipe of a website. My what a monster and what an old fruit. I bet he's had more than his fair share of knobs up in that chin of his - looks to me like his speciality is the chin-wank, though he probably has mighty fine man boobies too to help bring you off. I have a book at home which I love written by that little sweetie Peter Yorky all about Dictators Houses and I gotta say that Chincock's new gaff looks a bit like Idi Amin's old place. Wouldn't want to look in his fridge! I reckon hes got Brucie Boyer's schlong in a pickle jar and that ain't no metaphor!! Lord what an old ponce.

Pleeeeaaaase!

Yobbo! What's the man's sexuality to do with that? He is a blue blood, and a Brahmin, and he's also a good protestant. He would never engage in Sodomy! It's never happened in the holy halls of Harvard...

Re: It's A Legal Matter, Baby !

Chatting to my brother & the killer detail was that Goodfella is on the West Coast & Chens is on the East and for no very clear reason Mr. G. starts to threaten kids to 'defend' Mr. C and then the morning after they share a public Internet 'high five' and joke that C. owes. G. overtime for his efforts....

Is it normal to threaten kids ?

Is it normal to approve of the threatening of kids ?

Is it worrying that these two misfit batchelors span the land mass of the US? Do they have more Kiddy Botherer mates in the fly-over states ?

This has been an amazing own-goal.

Re: It's A Legal Matter, Baby !

Amazement at all of this is all over the place just now  - People who pose as peados just to shout down other people's opinions on clothes ?

(And I'd like to think they were indeed just posing)

But who would rather be thought a peado than wrong about clothes ?

??????????????????????

Re: It's A Legal Matter, Baby !

I decided not to go to the Ivy Style at the Museum of the Fashion Institute of Technology as I postponed my trip to the United States, I realised the pretentiousness of it all goes against my own notions of Ivy Style.  One wears it,  discusses it, and looks at its influence on other fashions and people.  Yet, other than it being what people at a certain time and place wore, does it require a two day talk fest aided by people who have become the self arbiters of Ivy Style you would move entire countries to avoid.

Reading the Daily Prep does give one ideas of a leisurely road trip to New England (and Muffy Aldrich's family tree); and the Ivy Style shows how to not have a proper job at 40 yet manage to become the arbiter of everything Ivy yet know nothing behind the social atmosphere that begat it.  I was wearing it before I knew that such a phenomena as Ivy Style existed and that I believe is the crux of the matter. It is what one conceives to be at a particular time and place.  It isn't just soft shoulders, swelled edges and certain materials.  It is as much the style of Hollywood's and America's influence on the post Second World War World as well.

It was worn almost exclusively to the 'elite' prior to the Second World war and afterwards became the fashion for "every man" in the period 1946 ~ 1966 and many of those people still wear it today.  Prep is as much about labels and certain clothes one must wear, which is what pre-war "Ivy Style" was as much about.  Muffy is a clothes horse for much of the little shops that sell the "proper brands" and those wrist bands she flogs off as true Americana aren't.  Like the term "Ivy" it is  marketing tool. I think the whole concept was a bit of a laugh by the authors as much as anything and started an industry based on the backlash of grunge.  This coming from a man who is currently attired in black track suit (sweat) pants, a black heavy metal T-shirt and is identified locally by the tatty Harvard sweat top which I have on as well.

Me, I just liked the clothes that Humphrey Bogart wore, and that is what started by liking of "Ivy Style".

That's a good point about grunge, but I think you're showing your age a bit GIZ, I think prep rode along on a wave of anti-skate, and hip-hop 00's westcoast style, with a lifestyle of tattoos and lowriders, think Miami Ink, and Street Art and all that. Some kids realised they could stand out by going conservative.

Fortunately though in Ivy you can find some classic pieces of menswear that you can choose to wear loudly or quietly, and like Jim said 99% of the general public aren't even going to notice or care. And you can sail through life knowing that you are bomb-proof from looking like a twat at the hands of contemporary mens fashion. Which lets face it, is fucking awful, and always has been.

Re: It's A Legal Matter, Baby !

It's got to be in your heart, for me these clothes have got nothing to do with lineage(chens angle), or fashion(the prep angle), they are the culmination of the hard work by of some talented people with a good eye for detail, design and proportion. And they made some bloody lovely clothes.

I sometimes post Liam a link to a jacket just because I know he'll like the button-stance, or something quite geeky like that. Or I'll consider buying that six-button placket BBBD that Zach has up, just to have it and look at it even though its 3 sizes to small. I'm not really too bothered by what anyone else tells me about them, cause it's all a sideshow to the clothes. People want to get off on being someone because of them fair enough, but I'm happy to geek it up.

Re: It's A Legal Matter, Baby !

The right lineage is important to Ivy Style?  Well that must be me then.  My forebears were selected by the British judges for the first assisted migration scheme to Australia.  They may have been convicts, but they weren't transported for stealing a loaf of bread.  Three were political prisoners having been part of the unsuccessful Irish Uprising of the Pike. Beats the crap out of Plymouth Rock.

Re: It's A Legal Matter, Baby !

Just in case we forget what's really going on with Chensvold these days...

His recent attack on the disabled was to draw attention away from his kiddy threatening.

Not sure it worked.

Not sure what his logic was either to be honest...

Re: It's A Legal Matter, Baby !

I'm pretty much with Yuca on this one, in spite of my mostly bullshit postings around ten or so years ago.  Like Jimbo, I suppose, I wanted to tweak a few noses.
Having not appeared on 'Talk Ivy' until about 2008 and being totally unfamiliar with everything else that was going on online I never quite got the feuding.  Jimbo would attempt to explain it to me on the 'phone and I would stare out into the darkness of my garden (with the old medieval deer park beyond) and stifle a yawn.  I just wanted chat about Johnny Simons, John Gall, Ian Strachan, Jeff G, Kenny and the others.  That was where my interests - and learning and mental stimulation - lay.
The most amusing, contrarian poster I remember was Beatnik, a lovely guy who dared question the orthodoxies of the JS politburo.  I very happily gave him a framed scrap of one of Jack Kerouac's shirts.

Re: It's A Legal Matter, Baby !

Regarding The Beatnik - he did once compose a sublime satire that still makes me gasp at his talents as a humorist, but he also once sent me a private message in which he said he'd find out where I lived and come round and kick my head in. Cannot remember what provoked his ire but it struck me as somewhat beyond the pale, particularly for a chap named beatnik.
