LOKL? Awesome to know thanks for that. The J. Press Shaggy Dog changes yearly in fit and finish. I personally would much rather have the everest. Great value to price ratio even shipping it over here. Press, Andover, Ben Silver and most of the other smaller shops all seem to carry the exact same sweater with different palletes.
Here is the question. How does the shoulder play in the right look? Seen several varietals out there. The Saddle Shoulder seems to be the consensus for the shoulder to get...

As an update to this; I finally contacted Andersons to place an order. After lots of running up and downstairs and huffing & puffing, they may have the colour/size option I'm after, but they have to wash it first before they can confirm!
They are currently struggling to deal with high demand, due to a shortage of Knitters. I would advise anyone considering a purchase to call, rather than rely on the website.
I also discovered that the cheaper Kellister, is a thicker knit than the Everest.
I'll be calling back to place an order on Monday, although I'm not sure exactly what I'll end up with.
I received my order from Anderson's today, and I'm underwhelmed.
I didn't receive the size I ordered for either jumper, one is too big, the other too small. I would also say that I can see no real difference between the Kellister and the Everest, apart from the price.
More importantly they just don't compare to my LJ Smiths, in heft, flecking or shaggyness.
Thats a real bummer the slacker,i hope the damage to your wallet was nt to severe.
Did you order one of the Christian Scotts from e bay,the other chaps seem quite happy.
I had a look last night but they only have light blue and purple left,so didnt proceed.
They cost around £160 with P&P. I should have paid the extra money for the JS Shetlands last year, which were made in the same mill as LJS.
This is very intersesting to me as I was about to "pull the trigger" on an order to Anderson's.
Out of interest, the_slacker, did you order a standard size or did you send them your specific measurements (armpit to armpit etc.)? I believe that jim did the latter a few years back and had better results.
Was also considering Anderson's, but I'm guessing it will be the shetlands from O'connells this year as well. At least I will know what I'm getting. Did anyone have any luck ordering directly from Laurence Odie? I think this was mentioned in another thread.
Who makes the O'Connells? It would seem better (for me in the UK) to order direct from the Shetlands rather than the US and avoid the extra shipping charges and customs duties and so on.

I had several phone calls with them and agreed that I should order a 48. I received a 46 and a 50 long.
I wish I could order direct from Odie, as I believe that's what JS had last year. They appear to use
a double thread which is what my LJS's have.
If I hadn't paid so much in customs charges recently, I would have returned them and ordered from O'Connells.

Despite the blanks, this is not without interest in terms of possible investment. I'll be interested to know the quality of the Christopher Hayes Aran when it shows up. There's an Odie on Ebay at the moment but not in my size. There's a Shaggy Dog in, I think, 'cement grey', that's drawing attention. Press have the name, no? I had two or three about a dozen years ago but never liked them as much as an under the radar hand-framed I had around 2008.
