I actually find driving today bloody awful due to the amount of traffic and the hastle of red lights constantly slowing down the pace. I am Brompton man myself these days, but it is nice to get out on a quiet road occasionally in the Prius which is only economical if you drive like your grandad.
I still fancy a Defender myself, rugged and built for eternity. Considering buying a cheap second hand one next year.

^ Indeed, I was always told if you can drive a Beetle you can drive owt. And in 20 years I pretty much have.
I wish my dad had kept some of his old cars, he had a Healy 3000 which he traded in for a Lotus Elan.
